Weibrecht Finishes 11th at Kitzbuehel
U.S. Ski Team’s Andrew Weibrecht of Lake Placid New York, finished a very respectable 11th in the World Cup Super G race at Kitzbuehel last Friday.
Weibrecht, who finished just one-hundreth of a second out of the top ten, tore the course up on one of the most treacherous runs in the World Cup circuit. It was Andrew’s first time racing at Kitzbuehel and he just embraced the aura of the mountain and pulled out all the stops despite his terrifying crash last month at Beaver Creek.
Americans Bode Miller finished fourth and Marco Sullivan finiished 16th. The results seemed to show that the young United States men’s team has come into its own nearly a year before the 2010 Vancouver Games.
