In these very lean financial times, take the opportunity this holiday season to treat yourself to a simple luxury.  I’m advocating a sensible choice rather than an irresponsible or over the top choice.  You will feel better and your wallet won’t suffer too much.

            Simple luxuries are everywhere:

            Latte at Starbucks -  I feel guilty paying more than a buck for a cup of coffee, but regular old coffee doesn’t come with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

            Ride the bus or subway – It’s cold and nasty out.  Give your feet a break and hop on mass transit.

            Buy a Lottery Ticket - All it takes is a dollar and a dream.  It may pay off!!

            Take Yourself to the Movies. – Escape the boredom of Blockbuster and check out the latest first run movie.  For maximum pleasure, do this in the middle of the afternoon.
